We have also made a substantial investment in high performance, self-bailing rafts to enhance the safety and quality of our customer's rafting experience. Not every French Broad or Nolichucky River rafting outfitter meets these high standards!

We believe the single most important factor to a successful rafting trip is the guides. We recruit friendly, enthusiastic people and then train them from scratch. Many of our trip leaders have 10 or more years of river experience.  

USA Raft holds commercial outfitter and guide licenses with the United States Forest Service, Pisgah National Forest - Pisgah, Appalachian and French Broad Ranger Districts.

"My husband and I, along with our two friends, took a trip with USA Raft last weekend. We rafted the Nolichucky River Gorge and it was amazing! All of the rafting guides were friendly and enthusiastic. The outpost had plenty of safety and comfort gear for us to use. We were each issued splash suits, life vests and helmets (along with our paddles). After a quick bus ride and a brief - but very useful - safety talk, our adventure began. The river was definitely exciting! Our trip started and ended with some serious whitewater, with lots of exciting rafting in the middle.
